UN Women Nepal seeks up to five skilled videographers and photographers to capture high-quality images and videos documenting gender equality and women’s empowerment initiatives.

UN Women Nepal aims to maintain a roster of professional videographers and photographers to support its communications and advocacy work. The consultants will produce impactful visual content for events, campaigns, field visits, human-interest stories, interviews, and other program activities. Their work will align with UN Women’s branding, ethical guidelines, and commitment to gender-sensitive storytelling. The content will be used for social media, reports, knowledge products, and donor communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and produce high-quality videos (HD, 4K) in English and Nepali documenting UN Women events, activities, and interviews.
• Capture varied shots and perspectives for engaging visual storytelling.
• Provide raw footage and best takes with captions and contextual notes.
• Edit videos and add graphic animations as per feedback.
• Deliver final videos in formats optimized for HD/4K web use.
• Capture high-resolution photographs with metadata.
• Select and submit at least 20 best images per assignment with detailed captions.
• Provide both raw and optimized photo files.
• Ensure all work meets UN Women’s branding and ethical guidelines.

Eligibility to apply

Education:

• Technical course or diploma in Photography, Videography, Multimedia Production, Visual Communication, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of professional photography and videography experience, including shooting, editing, and producing advocacy or development content.

Skills Required:

• Strong visual storytelling skills
• Technical expertise in framing, lighting, and composition
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, and Photoshop
• Ability to adapt style for different audiences and contexts
• Efficiency under tight deadlines and challenging field conditions

Preferred Knowledge:

• Ethical and gender-sensitive storytelling practices
• Familiarity with UN branding and communications guidelines
